Introduction:
As for MCW, which was evaluated taking into account the measurement between the lower edge of the mandible to the upper margin of the mandibular cortex through panoramic dental radiography. [1] In case of the bone density is evaluated in the region of the mandibular body with an increased resolution of the X-ray region and in the first cervical vertebra.

[1] The intermittent hypoxia (IH) has many implications in human metabolism, as an increase of free radicals and of the oxidative stress that causes an inflammatory process increased what results in a decrease of bone density.

[2] Thus the MCW, which is closely correlated with bone density and even when taking into account their influencers factors such as: age, mandibula growth direction, the relationship between the maxilla and the mandibula and the volume of the upper respiratory track, that seems to be an effective biomarker not only for the screening of OSA.
