Introduction:
In today's digitally enhanced healthcare landscape, the widespread implementation of electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth services, and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices has dramatically elevated the standards of patient care and streamlined operational workflows. Nonetheless, this shift towards digital integration has simultaneously rendered healthcare systems vulnerable to an intricate array of cybersecurity threats, thereby endangering patient safety and the integrity of personal health information. This document scrutinizes the contemporary landscape of cyber threats facing the healthcare sector, pinpoints the primary sources of these threats, and introduces an array of strategic measures designed to reinforce patient safety within the context of a digitally interconnected healthcare setting.
