Introduction:  In inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), extra-intestinal manifestations occur in approximately 50% of cases, with hepatobiliary abnormalities being the most frequent. Their progression may sometimes be independent of the IBD course.

Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive study conducted over a period of 2 years (May 2021 – August 2023), including patients followed in the Hepato-Gastroenterology Department “A” for IBD eligible for biologic therapy, in whom hepatobiliary abnormalities were diagnosed. Patients receiving immunosuppressive treatment were ex-cluded.

Conclusion: Hepatobiliary manifestations are often underrecognized and overshadowed by digestive symptoms. Their systematic investigation should not overlook common causes of liver disease, in order to ensure appropriate manage-ment and improve the prognosis of IBD.
