Introduction:
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Colorectal Cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. In UAE, CRC accounts for 12% of all cancer cases. As many people may not have symptoms in the early stages of the disease, CRC is often diagnosed at advanced stages where treatment options are limited. The incidence and impact of CRC can be significantly reduced by implementing effective screening programs (secondary prevention) and adopting a healthy lifestyle (primary prevention). The proper investigation for CRC screening is selected according to the risk of developing
CRC. Asymptomatic Individuals can be categorized as average risk or increased/high risk for developing CRC.
